Terms of use

Last updated: October 2026 · draft under legal review

By using this site you agree to the following terms. We kept them short and clear; if you have a question, write to us.

Using our content

The guides, magazine and papers are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). You may copy and share them, crediting NCSDI, for non-commercial purposes and without modification.

Slide decks and training tools are available to facilitators for non-commercial training, and may be adapted to the local context with credit.

Views expressed

Views in papers and articles are their authors’ and do not necessarily reflect NCSDI’s position.

The guides are for guidance only and are not a substitute for legal or professional advice on protection and conflict resolution.

Certificates

A certificate is awarded to whoever passes the exam themselves. NCSDI may revoke any certificate shown to have been obtained by cheating or impersonation; the revocation is shown to anyone verifying its code.

A certificate confirms passing a knowledge exam and is not a professional licence.

Contributions

By sending a contribution you agree that NCSDI may review, edit and publish it in the guide under the same licence, without any information that reveals who you are.

Do not send anything that could put someone at risk, or that you have no right to publish.

We may link to other sites for references and sources. We are not responsible for their content or policies.
